Blake Mycoskie started the company in 2006 with a mission to give away a pair of shoes to needy children around the world with every pair of shoes sold. While I’m sure that the bottom line is important to achieve this goal and be able to give away shoes, I think that the premise to do good and not just make money for money’s sake is huge and I applaud and admire him and his company.
